  • I am interested in retiring, how do I find out how much my estimated pension benefits will be?

Contact Sherri in the Funds Office and let her know you are considering retiring and would like to know how much your estimated benefit will be.  She will obtain the information and forward a copy to you. This is an estimate and is for informational purposes only and in no way serves as an application for benefits.

I have made the decision to retire, what do I need to do now?

You must formally apply for pension benefits. Please contact Sherri in the Funds Office and request an application. Sherri will provide you with an application and a list of all documentation needed to process your application. You will need to apply about one month prior to your planned retirement date for your Local Union Pension. If you are already retired from the Local Union and are interested in retiring from the NEBF or the International, again contact Sherri in the Funds Office. If you are applying for your NEBF pension keep in mind that you should contact Sherri about 6 months before your 62nd birthday and for your International pension application 3 months prior to your 62nd birthday.
