The Board of Trustees for Local 269 Health and Welfare Fund recently contracted to provide Pharmacy Doctor services to its members. This service is being provided to all members and their dependents as part of your health care benefits and at No additional cost to you.
Your Board of Trustees realize that there are many times that you may have questions about your illness(es), medication(s) or about healthy living.
As a Pharmacy Doctor contracted by the Local 269, I am available to discuss any questions or concerns that you might have with regard to:
- Questions about medications you are currently taking;
- Evaluating your medications for any potential interactions;
- Addressing any side effects you may be experiencing from your medications;
- Determining if the medications you are taking are the optimal treatment and at the appropriate dose for your illness(es);
- Determining if there are any alternative treatments to consider with your Physician in treating your illness(es);
- Educating you with regard to your illness(es) and medication(s);
- Educating you about healthy living (diet, exercise, supplements);
- High blood pressure and diabetes screening.
This service is designed to help you ensure optimal medication treatment and help you understand your illness(es) and medication(s). With the knowledge you obtain from this service you will be able to take an active role in your own health care in consultation with your Physician. You will have the knowledge to know what questions you should be asking your Physician, how to ask them and what considerations to be aware of when discussing issues with your Physician.
I hope you will take advantage of this valuable service. It can truly make a difference in your quality of life and, if nothing else, provide you with the peace of mind that you are receiving the optimal medication(s) for your illness(es) with the least risks for adverse results.
You can reach the Pharmacy Information Clinic by calling 609-394-3871. No question is ever to small, I am here to help you in anyway that I can.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kimberly D. Griego
